Condolences, Comments
Public comments of visitors to The Linen Memorial
and personal mementoes are welcome.
The artist understands that there are differing views on forgiveness, healing, reconciliation,
and various ways to heal from trauma and/or heal through remembering.
The Linen Memorial hopes
to be a positive contribution to the new Northern Ireland,
post-conflict. It has been created by an artist
born in Belfast whose family was touched by The Belfast Troubles. It has been made in the spirit of goodwill and as a public service.
Artistic persons have left mementoes for The Linen Memorial with
me, since 2002. Sometime this year, I will upload digital images of these different
mementoes.
It has been moving for me to observe the kindness and enthusiasm of visitors from
various walks of life and different countries search for the a resolution to The
Troubles, through experiencing The Linen Memorial. Many people seem to reach out
for
'a love' of N.Ireland/Ireland.
Person's written or artistic gestures
are their own.
